ReCycler v0.95 QoL & Prestige


v0.95 Patch notes - skipping v0.94 because it broke. Let's hope increasing the version number fixes that.

TL;DR;

* You can now assign Work/Research as primary TU pool. Free time units will be used/given to this primary pool when required.

* Free Time has been removed (We can blame @Vertigo  for this. THANKS MAN!).

* Prestige / Soft-Prestige - Certain skills will award prestige points upon ReCycle (at the end of 400 Cycles), these give a flat bonus to global multiplier if idle, but can also be spent to gain more Time Units permanently or unlock QoL stuff like auto-promote.

* Presitge / Soft-Prestige - The bonuses available will be expanded in the future.

* Prestige / Soft-Prestige - Added 3 prestige skills. One in each Research category.

* Skillcards now show max level reached on the card themselves! (Thanks @ThallionDarkshine)

* You can now navigate to Work/Research tab by clicking on the "Overview Card" (current job/skill card) (Thanks @Garf, although, the menu buttons stay... for now)

* Added colors to skill tier on skill cards.

* Added tiny notification bubble to menu tabs where new content is available.

* Added a pulsing notification next to tick/counter tracker on the first 3 ReCycles and the game will now pause on Cycle 55 on the first ReCycle to confuse new players further.

* Discord button added (Thanks @szyszaks).

* Base XP Rate - 0.0825 -> 0.0925.

* Interest - Max rate 0.15% -> 0.10%.

* Investment - Max rate 0.55% -> 0.35%.

* Investment Strategy - Max rate 0.75% -> 0.55%.

* Knowledge - Reduced the total XP amount this skill can reduce. 1.015 -> 1.025.

* New Skill: "Inner Peace" (T1) - Meditation 25 & Research 40 & Time Management 10

* New Skill: "Economic Freedom" (T3) - Work Horse 40 & Interest 40 & Skillful Worker 40

* New Skill: "Build Successful" (T5) - Programming 75 & Research 25 & Algorithms 75


Too long version:

Reworked time management!

You can now select a primary "usage pool" by clicking on the "work-time-unit-allocation-thingy" (on the left side of the screen), this will highlight it and when ever time units are needed/freed up, they will use this pool. 

E.g. if you reduce time spent cooking, the time units freed will go into this pool. (No need to constantly re-allocate new 'free time' to work/research when leveling up skills)

Removed free time entirely, as there is no benefit to having free time (...I want more free time IRL).

You only allocate time between work and research, so this new system will allow you to allocate faster, with less clicks!

When re-allocating you remove units from the other pool (if you want more time on work, it will automatically take it from research).

If the primary pool does not have enough time to re-allocate, it will pull from the other pool.

E.g. Changing food with an increased TU cost of 80 and Work(primary, in this case) pool has 60, it will pull 60 from Work(primary, in this case) pool and 20 from Research(secondary, in this case) pool


Prestige / Soft-prestige?

Added a basic prestige system where you gain points from certain skills and these points will give a base bonus to XP multipliers and they can be spent to gain permanent Time Units or unlock QoL stuff (Auto promote, anyone?).

This will undergo changes in the near future as I need to find a good balance of gaining points and giving a satisfying bonus from them.

The plan is not to make this a super OP 'resource', but more of a helping hand to people who don't break out the spreadsheet to min-max everything.

Added 3 prestige skills so far. One in each Research category.


Tooltips

I need to overhaul the tooltip system to make it respond better to everything!

And I need to go over the tooltips and make them more readable. 


Stats

... It's less broken. But still mostly(?) useless.


Notifications

Work, Research and Prestige tab will show a tiny notification bubble when new stuff is available in them! 

This was quickly thrown in before this patch was released because it's quite a basic feature that's been put off for too long. 

Now we have basic notifications! I plan to add more when I do a(nother) patch with focus on making the game less overwheling on first play.
